Italvolley closes with full points: Egonu first on the bench, then decisive
Italy continues its unabated run at the women’s volleyball European Championships: Mazzanti’s girls beat Croatia 3-0 with scores of 25-23, 25-19, 25-17, confirming the first place in Pool B with full points, without ever losing a set in five matches.
The Azzurre, who will take on Spain in the round of 16, did not particularly shine due to some absences and the coach’s decision to make some experiments ahead of the decisive matches.
With Ekaterina Antropova always out due to a muscle problem, Paola Egonu è entered the court at the end of the first set, placing the decisive partial for the victory. Same script in the second and third sets with the blue opposite always entered to give the final shake to the team.
The top scorer of the match è was Loveth Omoruyi with 15 points, 14 those of Alice Degradi. Egonu 6 points off the bench.
