Us Open draw, the Azzurri’s opponents. Jannik Sinner again with Carlos Alcaraz
It's been drawn the Us Open 2023 draw: Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz could cross paths again in the quarterfinals, just like last season when the Spaniard won at the end of an epic match.
Sinner in particular will debut against Germany’s Hanfmann, while in the second round he could immediately cross paths with Lorenzo Sonego, who is engaged with a qualifier. In the round of 16 it could be Zverev, while in the quarters it could be world number one Alcaraz. Should he qualify in the semifinals, Sinner could face off against his black beast, Daniil Medvedev.
The other Azzurri: Lorenzo Musetti will debut against a qualifier, and è has been placed in the part of the draw with top seeds Taylor Fritz and Stefanos Tsitsipas. Matteo Berrettini will face Frenchman Humbert in the first round and if he makes it to the third round he could face Andrey Rublev. Arnaldi-Kubler and Cecchinato-Safiullin the other pairings.
Novak Djokovic could face Tsitsipas in the quarterfinals, and in the semifinals Rune or Ruud.
