Day 1 è on file. Olimpia held its first team practice of the new season today, albeit with very incomplete rosters. Almost an hour of athletic work coordinated by trainer Giustino Danesi, in season number 11 in Milan, then another hour of basketball before the individual work that closed the first session. Ike Udanoh, who was supposed to join the team, dropped out (as of tomorrow there will be Vojislav Stojanovic, another veteran of the Italian league, seen in Capo d’Orlando, Torino and Cremona in Serie A), but the group è was reshuffled by the many youngsters present (Gravaghi, Marcucci, Miccoli, Garavaglia) and Greek point guard Vassilis Mouratos. Billy Baron played the first part along with his teammates, then when the ball è appeared he had to separate from the group to continue with his recovery after post-Scholastic elbow surgery. It’ was the first official training in Olimpia for Nikola Mirotic, Alex Poythress, Ismael Kamagate, Diego Flaccadori and Guglielmo Caruso. For Giordano Bortolani, on the other hand è it was a new beginning since he played for years in the youth in these parts. At the back of the training field, present the three banners each representing one of the three stars. They are also a novelty;. Also welcoming the team was a banner “Welcome Back Champions” posted outside the’facility by the fans.

The highlight will be the big evening in Athens on Sept. 15 to celebrate the career of Vassilis Spanoulis. The first engagement will beà Wednesday, Sept. 6 in Vigevano against Tortona, which, moreover, has already played in a friendly, then will follow the traditional tournament in Cagliari with one or two EuroLeague level engagements. Olimpia will make its official Supercoppa debut against Bologna on Sept. 22 in Brescia (at 6 p.m.) and a week later will play in the league against Treviso in the opener that will celebrate the third star.
