Us Open, Matteo Berrettini beats Ugo Humbert and enters the second round

Matteo Berrettini&#39s adventure at the Us Open is off on the right foot. The Italian defeated Frenchman Ugo Humbert, world number 33, in his debut match with a score of 6-4 6-2 6-2 after 2 hours and 23 minutes of play.

Rocket start for the Roman tennis player who got the break in the opening game and kept it until the end of the set, cashing the first partial 6-4. In the second set, the balance is broken in the fifth game with Berrettini snatching the serve from his opponent and winning four consecutive games, making the second partial his as well. The third set followed the same script: Humbert held until 2-2, then the number three Italian tennis player ran away and won the victory and passage of the round.

"È it was a very tricky match – Berrettini commented at the end of the match – also becauseé with Humbert we know each other very well, then è left-handed and I still have few matches behind me. I am very happy". 

In the second round awaits another Frenchman, Arthur Rinderknech, executioner of Argentina's Diego Schwartzman, defeated 6-3 6-4 6-2.
