There will be three Azzurri at the start of the Martin Fourcade Nordic Festival, an event that will effectively close the summer biathlon season, just under three months before the World Cup kicks off, and which will take place from 1 to 3 September in Annecy.

The women’s mass start, which will start at 4:05 p.m. on Sept. 1, will see Lisa Vittozzi looking for another success, after the one in the City Biathlon in Wiesbaden and the Sprint-Chase double at the tricolors in Forni Avoltri: a perfect preparation phase so far for the Sappada-born.

A good test also for Dorothea Wierer, competing together with those who announce themselves as great protagonists of the next review on the maximum circuit such as Julia Simon, Justine Braisaz-Bouchet, Ingrid Tandrevold, Marketa Davidova, the Austrian Lisa Theresa Hauser, the German Vanessa Voigt and the Swiss Lena Haecki-Gross.

Nine men are also competing in the mass, which is scheduled to start at 4:55 p.m.: Tommaso Giacomel, will be up against Norwegians Sturla Laegreid and Vetle Christiansen, as well as Benedikt Doll, Sebastian Stalder and Tero Seppala, in addition to the trio of Frenchmen consisting of Quentin Fillon-Maillet, Emilien Jacquelin and Fabien Claude.
