Charles Leclerc optimistic at Monza: his promise to Ferrari fans
A Friday of growth, but the feelings are even better in perspective.
Charles Leclerc sees a good Ferrari at Monza. The Monegasque placed his SF-23 fourth in Friday’s first free practice and sixth in the second. Even better è went teammate Carlos Sainz, which boosts his hopes ahead of the Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix d'Italia.
"We come from a busy day, in which our performance è was quite good. I just struggled a little bit with the balance, but we will work on it ahead of tomorrow. On the dry lap we can grow more", Leclerc said about his Ferrari.
What gives Leclerc even more optimism è forè another aspect. "I was even better on the long run. With a lot of fuel we did well, we need to improve something on the dry lap but we know how to do it. I am not worried, now we just have to focus on speedà with little fuel", explained the Ferrari driver.
And above all, Leclerc è felt in a position to make a promise to the Monza audience: "Today è seemed quite positive. So I hope to achieve great results on Sunday. Being in front of our fans è always special, becauseé even in a difficult year for Ferrari like this they are here with the maximum of their support. We hope that on Sunday it will be our turn to make them smile, thanks to a great performance by myself and Carlos".
