Carlos Alcaraz spoke after his three-set victory (6-3 6-3 6-4) against Matteo Arnaldi in the round of 16 at the Us Open. "In a Grand Slam you play for two weeks and the pains come. The other day I felt a pain in my left leg, but it è nothing serious" he said, in the words reported by 'Marca'.
"I don’t feel anything different in defending the title. I try to focus on my game and do what I have to do. I take off all the pressure that people canò put on me for being the champion" added the world number one.
The Murcian è satisfied with his level of play: ""Should I play the final tomorrow, I am ready and the truthè è that I am at a very good level. If I had to use an adjective it would be solid. You can always make fewer mistakes and moreù wins".
On the possible challenge against Jannik Sinner he confessed: "Everyone wants to see this match with Sinner. The one we played here last year è was one of the best in my career. We always push each other to the limit and the head-to-head è very tight. I enjoy playing against him and if we meet again, I am sure it will be a battle".
