F1, Fernando Alonso puts pressure on Ferrari
After Fernando Alonso's ninth-place finish in the Italian GP and yet another weekend out of the points by Lance Stroll, the Spanish driver è expressed himself bluntly about Aston Martin's ambitions in the fight for the Constructors World Championship.
"We have scored almost all the points with one car, so now there's a need to aim for the points zone with both cars if we want to have any chance of playing with Ferrari and Mercedes for second place" said the Spanish driver at the microphones of "Sky Sport F1".
"I think the position in the constructors’ championship depends more on Ferrari than on us. I think they have the second best car and almost the best overall at circuits like Monza, Baku, Jeddah and Miami, where they have always been fighting for the front row. In general you canò say that they have the second best car in this world championship, but they are fighting with us, so it will be up to them to try to make as few mistakes as possible in order to stay in the fight" added Fernando Alonso.
