After the five-set loss to Alexander Zverev, Jannik Sinner, during the post-match press conference, did not hide his regret for the elimination in the round of 16 of the Us Open. " I tried to do the best with what I had. Halfway through the first set I felt a little bit that I was struggling to serve, then I was cramping a little bit; everywhere. It was not easy to play, but I tried. In the fifth set I had my chances, but I could not take advantage of them" added the blue number one.
"The level to be competitive in Slam tournaments by now I have it. I have had so many good results this year. We have to try to look at what è happened in a positive way, becauseé I think we are on the right track" continued the world number six.
"The next event for me will be the Davis Cup and I am very excited to play it. It will haveò more time to prepare for it at this point, for me unfortunately becauseé it means I have been eliminated here" commented Jannik Sinner.
