Fabio Cannavaro, as a former captain of the national team but also the current coach of Benevento, has chastised Roberto Mancini on his controversial farewell to the national team: "&It was a difficult choice. Surely there could have been different times to make this decision. Important matches are just missing, è it was a choice with wrong timing". 

"He had a major offer and when there are such offers one thinks about it. Mancini made his choice and it should be respected, forò maybe he could have thought about it earlier".

"Travelling around the world you realize that the difference between Italy and other countries is in the facilities: on this we are really lacking", added the'former Ballon d'Oro.

Closing remark on the future: "I have so much desire to coach, I have had experience abroad and one in Italy that did not è go too well. I wait and study then see what happens in the future"
