A muscle problem for Federico Chiesa is complicating Luciano Spalletti's debut on the national team bench. The Juventus striker felt a discomfort in his adductor during the finishing session in Coverciano, and will thus miss the match in Skopje against North Macedonia.

The Bianconeri striker was a candidate to play as a starter in the Azzurri’s attacking trident along with Immobile and Politano, now he will return to Turin to check with Juve the extent of the problem. Also injured with him is Lorenzo Pellegrini, who returns immediately to Rome for checks.

Instead of Chiesa, one of Zaccagni and Zaniolo could play in Luciano Spalletti's starting eleven.
