Figure Germany, Flick torpedoed

After the embarrassment against Japan, the German Football Association has decided to exonerate Hansi Flick. Against France, the Teutonic team’s next opponent, Voller will sit on the bench while waiting for a replacement. Along with Flick, the two assistant coaches Marcus Sorg and Danny Rohl are also saying goodbye.

These are the words of Bernd Neuendorf, president of the German Football Association: "The committee agreed that the national team needs a new impetus after recent disappointing results. Ahead of the European Championships in our country, we need optimism and confidence. Personally, è one of the most difficult decisions of my term. I appreciate Hansi Flick and his assistants, however, sporting success has the highest priority. That is whyé the decision was inevitable".

In the last five matches Germany has collected one draw (against Germany) and three defeats (against Belgium, Poland, Colombia and Japan). On Tuesday at 9 p.m. the Germans will take on France.
