Dino Zoff slams Donnarumma issue

Speaking on Radio Anch'io Sport, Dino Zoff commented on the criticism triggered against Gianluigi Donnarumma after the goal he conceded against North Macedonia: "Donnarumma won us the European Championships. On that shot against North Macedonia, it’s okay to take a goal. This tragicomic scenario for a match scares me".

The former Azzurri coach preaches calm: "Around the national team è everything exaggerated, we drew against a decent team. The team è moved well, that è a goal you can è take and now è all a 'we risk not going to the'European'. The point è that there are few young Italians, there are so many other sports and the category of soccer player has è moved to other areas, from Africa to South America to Eastern Europe, here they are lacking".

"Today the first young person who does well has three prosecutors, it seems to me exaggerated. In Friuli, in my time, we had 10 or 12 in Serie A, then there were 30 years when there wasn&#39t a Friulian in the whole Serie A, although now someone is coming back. This è statistic, Northern Italy has given less becauseé there are fewer children, you don&#39t play in the streets anymore" Zoff's opinion.
