Naples, two obstacles to Victor Osimhen’s renewal
The Nigerian’s contract with Napoli expires in June 2025
Relations are good but, for the moment, renewal è still far away. Napoli is doing everything to armor Osimhen. Blue club owner De Laurentiis has refused significant sums from Saudi Arabia for his ace and is willing to guarantee him a superstar salary (10 million a season) in order to keep him in Naples for several more years.
However, the classic white smoke will not be so easy to achieve. The Nigerian's entourage is in no hurry and, above all, wants to solve two granas that, at the moment, are keeping the renewal negotiations on hold, namely maxi rescission clause and image rights.
De Laurentiis would like to protect himself by inserting a very high rescission clause but this would reduce the number of clubs potentially able to buy Osimhen. Then there'è the issue of image rights with Napoli wanting to manage them internally, as it has been going for so many years with its own players. Another point on which the parties do not seem to be in agreement at all. Fortunately, Oismhen&#egrave;s current contract is expiring in 2025, so there's still room to maneuver to arrive at a positive solution for both parties involved.
