Scherma in Legnano

The 2023/2024 World Cup season of women’s epee will begin in Italy: from November 10 to 12, the appointment is in Legnano. The Lombardy city, historical “home” of the “Trofeo Carroccio”, for decades a central event in the international epee calendar, has obtained together with the Italian Fencing Federation the’organization of the first stage of the women’s epee rainbow circuit after Estonia, which was supposed to host the competition in Tallinn, renounced.

FIS and the Legnano Committee immediately stepped forward to fill the “gap” in the calendar and, as a result of this authoritative and reliable bid, the FIE officially awarded Italy the women’s epee World Cup round scheduled for November 2023.

For CT Dario Chiad&ograve&ograve’s blue epaulettes, after closing with the Team silver at the World Championships in Milan last season, the new one will start again from Lombardy, just about thirty kilometers away, once again with the boost for their own public.

The program will beà opened Friday, November 10 with the preliminary stages of qualification to the main draw, Saturday 11 the highlight of the individual event, Sunday 12 the Team Event.
