F1, in Singapore Ferrari shines in the first free practice: Leclerc precedes Sainz
It's a great Ferrari in the first free practice of the Singapore Grand Prix. The Redhead, in fact, signed a one-two with Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz in the first two positions. The Monegasque driver beat his teammate by 78 thousandths, then the Red Bull of Max Verstappen, distant just over a tenth.
An excellent Lando Norris set the fourth fastest time in the McLaren, followed by the two Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton and George Russell in fifth and sixth, respectively. In seventh place was the other Red Bull of Sergio Perez, which was ahead of Fernando Alonso's Aston Martin.
As many as three yellow flags during the morning session due to the presence of iguanas on the track. In the afternoon, at 3 p.m. Italian time, the drivers will return to the track for the second session.
