Stefano Pioli doesn’t flunk everything: “I’m keeping the first 70 minutes.”
In spite of the very heavy knockout, the attempt è to also look for some good news.
Stefano Pioli tries to defend his Milan team after the 5-1 victory with which Inter won the Milan derby. A result against which the Diavolo coach wanted to give some explanations after the match, finding many aspects to improve but also deciding to save part of the performance of his own.
"In the moments when there was the impression that we could set things up again, we conceded the goals,” Pioli stressed to the microphones of 'DAZN' -. On the field we put in a quality, even a decent one, but we were careless on the restarts. We had deserved to shorten the gap, but the 3-1 cut our legs".
In other words, Pioli decided not to fail much of his team’s match. "Our first 70 minutes I keep them – said the Milan coach – We have to però work to better understand the various situations. And we have to continue, becauseé è it is normal to have difficulties when you face a start with so many novelties. But we need to be team until the end of the games".
"Inter è a strong team, but so are we. Then they are square, hitting them è difficult. We should have spread more and been as effective as they were going forward. Then we took the penalty just after the changes, and for those who take over it is not è easy. We can improve in many aspects, but I am convinced that we will also play for the top", Pioli wanted to assure.
