F1, Ferrari: Frederic Vasseur looks ahead and warns everyone
Frederic Vasseur already looks ahead
After fourteen weekends of suffering, it is finally time for Ferrari è to celebrate, thanks to Carlos Sainz’s success in the Singapore Grand Prix. The Cavallino team principal, Frederic Vasseur, commented on the more-than-positive outcome of the race (and his first success as leader of the Ferrari race wall) to the microphones of 'Sky Sport'.
"Carlos è was outstanding, as well as the whole team – said the French engineer -. But Charles è was also very good, our plan was to start strong with him by making him use the softs, è he was unfortunately penalized by the Safety Car and the traffic in the pit lane".
Vasseur also commented positively on Sainz's decision to "allow" the use of the DRS to Norris, to tamp down the attacks behind them from the two Mercedes: "Carlos was in control of the race – he said – his è was an excellent assessment, decisive in the last laps".
Closing the interview, Vasseur però said he already wants to look ahead: "We are working well but now let's not get excited. We had a good race and we have to enjoy the result but closed the Singapore chapter there'è to think about Suzuka: it will be a completely different challenge".
