Verona and Bologna don’t get hurt at the ‘Bentegodi’
Verona-Bologna 0-0
The post-match of the fourth day of Serie A between Verona and Bologna ended in a deadlocked draw, in a match that provided little excitement.
In the first half, the hosts found the lead through Hien, who put Skorupski’s rebound into the net after Folorunsho’s header. The referee però annulled the goal due to an offside by Bonazzoli, who was in an active position. Toward the end of the first half, the guests also made an appearance with a great right-footed shot by Karlsson from the edge that Montipò deflects into a corner.
The resumption è was red-blù: at 52' Karlsson again committed Montipò with a low shot at the first post, deflected into the corner by the Gialloblù extreme defender. At 72' Ndoye did not take advantage of a great play with the heel of Zirkzee, kicking weakly into the arms of Montipò. In the final, Fabbian sends a header high off an inviting cross from Calafiori.
Verona thus misses out on hooking up with AC Milan, taking them to seven points in the standings, along with Napoli, Frosinone, Torino and Fiorentina, while Bologna rises to five, in 11th place in the standings.
