Milan can breathe a sigh of relief for Mike Maignan. In fact, the Rossoneri goalkeeper, who was injured in the Champions League match against Newcastle, did not suffer any injury to his left flexor, which he had felt pull ten minutes into the match against the Magpies.
"Mike Maignan, during last night’s match, suffered a left thigh flexor muscle strain. An MRI performed this morning ruled out injury. The’clinical evolution will be monitored daily" reads the statement issued by the rossonera club.
Recovery times have not yet been defined but there'è optimism to see Maignan back on the field as soon as possible: the French goalkeeper is expected to miss the match against Verona on Saturday, and then try to return in the next round against Cagliari, or at the most, in the big match against Lazio, scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 30.
