WTA Guadalajara, Martina Trevisan makes the quarterfinals: ko Ons Jabeur
Martina Trevisan’s journey continues in Guadalajara. The Italian tennis player, in fact, è imposed herself in a comeback over world number 7 Ons Jabeur, with the score of 6-7 7-5 6-3, snatching the pass for the quarterfinals.
The first set began with an exchange of breaks between the two players and several changes of pace. The Italian, after having to cancel six set points between the tenth and fourteenth games had to surrender at the tie-break to her rival with a score of 7-4.
In the second set, Trevisan still suffered on serve, but managed to keep in touch with Jabeur and bring the score back to even; in the tenth game by snatching the serve from the world number seven. After the tiebreaker, the Azzurra è won the second partial 7-5.
In the third partial the Italian number one managed to impose her game more, managing to build a lead that she maintained until the final 6-3.
Martina Trevisan, in the quarterfinals, will face U.S. Caroline Dolehide.
