Roger Federer: confession about Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner

Former world number one Roger Federer in an interview with Eurosport confessed some regret for not being able to challenge the Next Gen captained by Alcaraz and Sinner which has been gaining momentum in recent years.

"So many young people are emerging, a generation I could not play against. I am referring to Jannik Sinner, Holger Rune, Carlos Alcaraz. Unfortunately I was not able to challenge them on the court but I think the future is bright. The game is evolving, we are evolving".

"We have experienced some great moments: Novak Djokovic rewriting history, Alcaraz’s exploit at Wimbledon, Daniil Medvedev who played fantastic in New York", continued King Roger.

In the women’s arena, Federer praised Coco Gauff, winner of the last Us Open: "I think she did something special, unique. È in the circuit for five years and è an incredible girl".
