Ivan Juric speaks clearly

During the press conference on Saturday afternoon, in which he presented the challenge between his Torino and Roma scheduled for Sunday evening, Ivan Juric also addressed the issue related to the performance of Nemanja Radonijc, trying to explain the reasons for a certain discontinuity of the Serbian at the level of performance, especially in challenges against high-caliber teams.

“He is always the same, you have to take him as he is,” said the granata coach, responding to reporters’ questions, “it has to be said that when facing high-caliber footballers all strikers struggle more. In other matches, on the other hand, he emerges with quality and speed.”

“Then it also depends on how we set up the match,” added the Croatian coach. “Against four-man defenses we play with two strikers, against three-man defenses Radonjic tends to go on the flank, although I would like him to play more in the center. He, however, prefers to stay wide, he looks for his spaces to get his cues.”

Radonijc, born in 1996, has been at Torino since the summer of 2022. Last season he scored 4 goals in 30 games between the league and Coppa Italia, this year he is already at 3 in 4 Serie A matches but he stunted the only challenge he played against a big one, AC Milan (4-1 for the Rossoneri the final result, Radonijc substituted midway through the second half after a colorless match).
