Paolo Nicolato let loose after the defeat against France at the Under-21 European Championship: “I have a hard time talking about the match, it is not possible to see these referees and I have the feeling that the episodes this time affected too much. We were unlucky, against a great team but the absence of Var is incredible.”
“We played a good game, but we can still do better. We didn’t capitalize on the chances we had even though we deserved something more.”
He closed again on the Var: “We will get used to doing without it, maybe it’s better that it’s not there since in 2019 they canceled Scamacca’s goal for us in the recovery.”
