During an interview given to the microphones of the "Resto del Carlino", Tezenis Verona General Manager Alessandro Frosini è expressed himself bluntly about the ambitions of Luca Banchi’s new Virtus Bologna and the possible favorites for the final victory this season.
"This new Virtus è seemed to me to be a good team, talented and very deep. I think they have all the makings to go far this season. As for the favorites for the Scudetto, I think the premises to see again this year a challenge between Virtus Bologna and Olimpia Milano are all there, but I would add, as an outsider, also Neven Spahija"’s Reyer Venezia; debuted the GM of Tezenis Verona.
"I am not surprised by their triumph in the Supercoppa, becauseé è a companyà that invests and plans. The current ownership has spent its resources well. I have never worked with Luca Banchi, but I know him and I must say that he has è presented himself great. He's arrived at Arcoveggio and in less than a week he has already won a trophy" added the former basketball player regarding the Felsinians's triumph in the Supercoppa.
In conclusion Frosini wanted to spend words of praise for one of his old acquaintances, namely Achille Polonara: "Achille è an instinctive player, an excellent athlete with great verticalityà. He is fast, agile, skilled in three-point shooting and offensive rebounding. In the national team he found it difficult to find the basket, but I know him and it doesn't worry me. All shooters go through a lackluster phase, but the three-point shot is part of his baggage and I am sure he will find it again" soon.
