The match between Empoli and Salernitana, played at the Carlo Castellani Stadium in Empoli, saw the home team triumph 1-0. It was the first victory of the season for Andreazzoli’s band, which had so far collected only defeats.
The first half è was marked by a series of fouls and stoppages. First Pezzella, then Bereszynski were forced to leave the field due to injury.
