Kieran Crowley, Technical Commissioner of the Italian Men’s National Rugby Team, has made official the lineup that will face France on Friday, October 6 at 9 p.m. at Olympique Stadium in Lyon in the match valid for the fourth and final match for the Azzurri in Group A of the Rugby World Cup 2023, a match that will be broadcast live on Rai 2 and Sky Sport 1.
It will be match number 48 between the two teams, the second in a World Cup after the previous one in the group stage in 2015 won by France.
In the wide triangle Capuozzo returns to wear the number 15 jersey with Ioane and Bruno on the wings, the latter making his first start in the Rugby World Cup. Pair of centers formed by Brex and Paolo Garbisi, in his second appearance in the No. 12 jersey after the match against Uruguay. Midfield keys entrusted to Tommaso Allan – who became the Azzurri’s top scorer in the Rugby World Cup – and Varney.
Fourth consecutive match as a starter for the third-line unit formed by captain Lamaro, Negri and Lorenzo Cannone. In the second line along with Ruzza returns Niccolò Cannone, while Ceccarelli, Faiva and Ferrari will take the field in the first line.
Ready to take over from the bench will be Manfredi, Zani, Riccioni, Sisi, Zuliani, Fusco, Morisi and Pani.
