Nicola Sorrentino, doctor, dietician, master of nutrition, scientific director of the Iulm Food Academy and author of essays on nutrition, has written ‘Eat like a champion’ (Sperling & Kupfer, 240 pages, 18.90 euros) based on his experience but also on the latest indications of food science.
Among the sports stars featured in the volume is Sofia Goggia. The ski champion admitted to “gaining weight just by looking at food” and also revealed her method with eggs: “I take out the yolks and drown them by melting them in coffeeè”.
In the book, among many discoveries, one is also made regarding Olivier Giroud: the Milan bomber “has a nose for goal but also a well-behaved palate” thanks to his nutritionist brother who keeps him in check.
