Possible blow in the MotoGP world championship standings for Marco Bezzecchi, who suffered a fractured collarbone while training at his mentor Valentino Rossi’s Ranch with other Academy riders.
From early reports, the 24-year-old Rimini-based Ducati Mooney VR46 Racing rider is expected to undergo surgery tomorrow. Recovery time is uncertain but he certainly won’t be racing on Sunday in Indonesia.
However, the two races in Australia and Thailand are on the weekends immediately following the next one, so Bezzecchi, who è third in the standings at 54 points behind Pecco Bagnaia, risks skipping all three by seeing his already difficult chase for the’iris compromised.
