Torino, Ivan Juric’s regret
Torino coach Ivan Juric barely holds back his emotion during the post-match 2-0 defeat press conference in the extracittadina against Juventus.
"I am very sorry: there's a great regret, there's a sense of being unfinished because in two and a half years I have not managed to give the fans the joy of winning a derby. I am already thinking about the next game after the break, but also about the next challenge against the Bianconeri because I want to beat them: about tonight, however, I have little to say".
The Croatian, however, tries to give his reading of the match: "In the first half we did what I had asked, we created dangers and didn't risk anything in defense – Juric's analysis – then the two goals came on two corner kicks: it's not true that there wasn't a reaction from us, but it's true that Juve closes well and it becomes hard to score goals when they are all behind".
His Toro seems to be in a waning phase: "Last year we had closed with great confidence, we saw so many positive things – the coach also admits – but in these first days of the championship we have seen few: even I perhaps should give something more; the important thing is to start again stronger than ever".
