F1, hell Qatar: drivers fainted at medical center

"By far the toughest race I’ve ever done in my career", Charles Leclerc summed up in the post-race the nightmarish conditions in which the drivers raced in the F1 Qatar Grand Prix.

So many drivers felt ill after the race due to dehydration, and the three mandatory stops made the GP a real tour de force. Logan Sargeant abandoned the race because he was not feeling well, Esteban Ocon threw up in his helmet, Lance Stroll è was taken to the medical center by ambulance after the checkered flag.

Before the podium, the camera lingered on Piastri and Verstappen, both of whom were destroyed on the ground. And Norris revealed to Sky that he saw several unconscious drivers at the medical center.

Leclerc explained thusì the particularityà of the race: "The first cause è obviously the heat. The second is all the high-speed curves è. The third, which è the main reason, è was having three mandatory pit stops, becauseé this forces you to always push by doing one qualifying lap after’another".
