Matias Vecino knocks out Atalanta: 3-2 at Stadio Olimpico

In the picturesque setting of the Stadio Olimpico in Rome, Lazio defeated Atalanta in a match full of emotions, in the match valid for the eighth day of Serie A. The home team, led by Maurizio Sarri and deployed with a 4-3-3, got the better of the visiting lineup, coached by Gian Piero Gasperini and arranged with a 3-4-1-2.

The match è began with a frantic pace. In the 5° minute, an own goal by Charles De Ketelaere put Lazio ahead. A few minutes later, at 11°, Valentin Castellanos doubled for Lazio with a precise shot in the center of the goal, assisted by Felipe Anderson. Despite the doubling, Lazio continued to create chances, with Matteo Guendouzi hitting the crossbar in the 18th° minute. However, Atalanta did not let it get them down and responded with a header goal by Ederson in the 33° minute, served by Matteo Ruggeri.

In the second half, Atalanta tied the score with a header by Sead Kolasinac in the 63° minute, off an assist from Teun Koopmeiners. But Lazio did not give up and found the winning goal in the 83° minute thanks to Matías Vecino, who took advantage of a Valentín Castellanos header assist. Despite Atalanta's desperate attempt to equalize in the final minutes, Lazio held on and è secured the victory.
