Napoli, a clause puts Garcia’s back to the wall. Two bigs vying for the bench

Rudi Garcia’s bench is increasingly teetering in Naples. The defeat against Fiorentina has shaken Aurelio De Laurentiis’ certainties about the coach: the patron does not accept to see the Italian champions mistreated at home and fifth seven points behind the first in the standings after the first eight days of the championship.

The blue club è at a crossroads and the next 48 hours will be decisive. According to rumors reported by Corriere dello Sport, Garcia’s contract includes a clause in favor of Napoli: in case of separation, the French coach would have a 2.8 million salary guaranteed until June 30, and then the club would be relieved of any commitment.

According to Sky, Napoli is considering two replacements: in pole there'è Antonio Conte, for whom De Laurentiis would be willing to make a financial sacrifice. In second place there'è former Marseille coach Igor Tudor.

In Monday's meeting, the coach's lack of empathy with the team was discussed: many bigs reacted badly at the time of substitutions. De Laurentiis è took an extra day to reflect on the issue.
