Finishing for the Azzurri ahead of Malta

In an at least seemingly calm atmosphere Luciano Spalletti continued the preparation for the two commitments valid for the European qualifiers, starting with the first one that now looms, tomorrow night (20.45) in Bari against Malta.

With the exception of Federico Chiesa and Mattia Zaccagni, who were in the pits to carry out their respective work schedules, the remaining 24 players took the field for the refinement, including the latest arrival, Roma player El Shaarawy, who was summoned in place of Zaniolo, who was involved in the betting case. Chiesa then left the gathering, while Zaccagni è remained.

As usual, the technical commissioner divided them into two groups shuffling a bit the cards in terms of formation: with the yellow bib Darmian, Scalvini, Acerbi, Dimarco, Frattesi, Locatelli, Bonaventura, Orsolini, Scamacca and the same El Shaarawy; with the blue bib Di Lorenzo, Gatti, Bastoni, Biraghi, Barella, Cristante, Udogie, Berardi, Raspadori, Kean.

Both Tonali and Zaniolo, who ended up involved in the investigation into betting in soccer, left the retreat in the morning: the former Milan player left, the latter a little later in the company of his father; a private flight to Birmingham awaits him in the afternoon.
