Boris Becker open-hearted about Jannik Sinner

During the Sports Festival being held in Trento, former German tennis player Boris Becker, among other topics, dwelt on the potential of Jannik Sinner and the level of Italian tennis.

"Today Italy can count on very strong and talented players like Sinner, Musetti, Berrettini, Sonego and Arnaldi. I like Jannik very much. He has a nice personality, è a good player and I am sure he will be able to win several slams. Of course there's someone like Alcaraz and Djokovic who will be able to get in the way, but he's young and has all the makings of one of the best tennis players in the next few years. The future will hold several exciting moments for fans, because there are so many young upstarts who will show good things soon" began the former German tennis player.

" I just told him that the most important thing was honesty, in fact I promised him that I would tell him when he would play bad and even very bad, otherwise he would never improve. Plus, I told him I would make sure he came home with a trophy in every final played. For two years we got along very well and he for me è like a younger brother" added Boris Becker about Novak Djokovic, whose è coach he was between 2013 and 2016.
