On the concrete of Monastir, two Italians land in the quarterfinals of the Tunisian ATP 250, officially known as the Jasmin Open Monastir.
Lucia Bronzetti, world number 62 and the number 6 seed, beat in just over an hour and a half in an all-Romagna derby the veteran Italian Sara Errani with a score of 6-3 6-4.
Lucrezia Stefanini, number 125, on the other hand got the better of Poland’s Katarzyna Kawa, number 217, 6-4 6-1 in just over an hour and ten minutes of play.
Now Bronzetti could face another compatriot because she will face the winner between Jasmine Paolini, fresh number 30 in the rankings, and Croatian Petra Marcinko.
Stefanini, on the other hand, will meetà the winner between France’s Clara Burel, number 8 seed and number 74 WTA, and Russia’s Erika Andreeva, number 130.
