A few hours before his debut in the Basketball Champions League against Murcia, Derthona winger Kyle Weems, during an interview with the microphones of "Tuttosport", è returned to talk about his farewell at the end of last season to Virtus Bologna and the decision to move to the Piedmontese club.

"Sì, I won’t hide it, I had less space especially in the Euroleague and I gicoated my last game with them on April 23 against Sassari. I would have preferred better communication, but that’s part of the job. I don’t hold grudges nè ill will, in our job you put in change and you understand when è the time. I was not part of the plans. Here, however, they made me feel how much they wanted me" began the U.S. winger.

"I always try to be aggressive and bring energy. Coach Ramondino asked me to take initiative and I am fine with that. In Bologna I had less responsibility because there were players like Shengelia, Hackett, Teodosic and Belinelli, but I always tried to contribute. For me leadership means showing how I work, giving my best, being consistent. I sincerely thank President Marco Picchi and Coach Marco Ramondino for giving me this opportunity. This game must be a source of pride for them. In just three years Tortona has è inserted itself and stabilized at the top in Italy. In Europe, however, we have all the cards on the table to be able to compete" added the'former Virtus.

In conclusion Kyle Weems è expressed himself on the start of the season with Tortona: "I had very good feelings. As for the team, we did not have a good start in the Supercup, but we are a new roster, despite the confirmations. We need time to perfect knowledge and mechanisms. We are working hard and the results can be seen in the daily improvement. We struggled and won in the league two victories with Brindisi and Varese".
