A shared choice, but no shortage of regret.

Jorge Martin è agrees with the MotoGP decision to cancel the Phillip Island Sprint Race for safety reasons, but at the same time does not hide his disappointment. The Ducati Pramac rider, mocked in the Australian Grand Prix held on Saturday, in fact closes the weekend even more distant from Pecco Bagnaia in the standings.

"The decision not to race è was the right one – stressed Martin -. The wind was very strong, and we noticed it by seeing how many crashes occurred in Moto2. We have to respect what the race management has determined. Although for me this was an opportunity".

However, there remains regret for what the weekend in Phillip Island could have represented, and instead it was not. "Even on the water I felt comfortable, I saw the possibility of recovering points – stressed Martin – Unfortunately, it was not possible, we will focus on the next race. It remains frustrating to be the fastest on the track all weekend and throw away the race. Let’s say it could have been even worse, at least we picked up a few points. Now it will beà important not to make more mistakes like yesterday with the tires".
