The bitterness over the lost podium è all but forgotten.

Lewis Hamilton è in Mexico, but he does not forget Austin. The Mercedes driver had finished second in the U.S. Grand Prix, contending for victory with Max Verstappen until the checkered flag. An irregularity at the bottom of his single-seater then deprived him of the result collected on the track, but in the meantime the seven-time world champion has reopened the controversy.

"We had a non-ideal ground clearance, so at the end of the day we did a good job,” Hamilton told 'Sky Sports' on Thursday opening the Mexico Grand Prix weekend.

We and Ferrari were the ones with the worst ground clearance, we had big difficulties on the bumps. But we were not the only ones".

" I talked to a lot of people in the paddock, and they admitted that in case of controls they would have been illegal too. So I know for a fact that many other single-seaters were out of compliance in Austin. I am reporting a verified", added Hamilton.
