Federica Brignone’s statements after her second place in Soelden

After taking second place in the Soelden Giant Slalom, just two hundredths behind winner Lara Gut-Behrami, Italian skier Federica Brignone wanted to bluntly analyze her performance.

“Two hundredths è clearly that burns. What makes me most angry è my performance, I did not ski as well as I could have. But this è sport and you have to accept it. I am so happy with how I started the season, while last year I was struggling a lot" began the blue skier at the microphones of "FISI".

"Old hen makes good stock, Lara Gut and I said it to each other on the podium and had a laugh. I hope that strong young people will come, of course our generation è really very competitive and we have been skiing strong for many years" continued the Valle d’Aosta woman.

In conclusion, Federica Brignone è expressed herself about the Zermatt-Cervinia downhill, her next competitive event: "The downhill for me does not have the meaning of the podium, but I have prepared well and Cervinia will be a new race for all of them and so there could be interesting opportunities. I’m going becauseé I believe in it and we’ll see the results".
