Federica Brignone mocked by two hundredths in Soelden
After dominating the first run on the Rettenbach snow in Soelden, comes the mockery for Federica Brignone. The Italian, in fact, failed to win the first Giant Slalom of the season by only two hundredths in favor of Swiss Lara Gut-Behrami. Completing the podium was Slovakian Petra Vlhova, only 14 hundredths behind the winner.
In fourth place was Sweden’s Sara Hector followed by Marta Bassino, who managed to recover two positions from the first run. Completing the Top 10 are Mikaela Shiffrin (+1.40), Valerie Grenier (+1.45), Mina Fuerst Holtmann (+2.00), Alice Robinson (+2.48) and Franziska Gritsch (+2.58).
Not going beyond 16th place was Sofia Goggia, who finished the heat with a 2.94 gap from Behrami.
