Adriano Panatta ironic about Jannik Sinner’s record
Former Italian tennis great Adriano Panatta commented ironically on Jannik Sinner's feat of equaling the record of 10 tournaments won at the age of 22.
"I hope he wins the next tournament as early as tomorrow, so he'll overtake me and you won't call me anymore… – he jokingly told Domenica Sportiva -. He's very strong and will win a lot, but let me live…".
Panatta è was later contacted by Radio Rai: "The match? I could only hear it on audio becauseé I was driving. We hope he wins right away still soé we get it over with. He overcomes me anyway and I am the first to be happy".
"It’s not è a competition between me and Sinner, I’m 150 years old, he’s 22. Every era has its things".
