Sinner record-breaking even on TV
The Vienna ATP 500 final between Jannik Sinner and Daniil Medvedev averaged a 3.88 percent share on SuperTennis. With an average audience of 476,800 viewers, è it was the second most-watched match in the channel’s history after last September’s Beijing final, also between the South Tyrolean and the Russian (on that occasion for’the challenge was live and exclusive on SuperTennis while Sunday’s final was simulcast with Sky).
Record-breaking, the peaks reached during the match. On the 15 minutes, for the first time in the history of the FITP thematic channel, the 600,000 viewers were exceeded: in the last quarter of an hour of the Austrian final, SuperTennis in fact reached 612,129 viewers (the previous record was 589,305 and dated back to November 29, 2021, the day of Sinner vs Cilic in Davis Cup). An all-time record also for the average peak audience over the five minutes: 630,228 viewers.
Overall, on Sunday, Oct. 29, SuperTennis approached two million daily contacts: 1,974,000 viewers watched the channel, with a share of 1.04% on the day. With an average audience of 97,851 viewers, Sundayè thus became the third most watched day in the history of SuperTennis.
