Daniel Ricciardo’s words ahead of the Brazilian GP

After his seventh place finish in the Mexico GP, Alpha Tauri driver Daniel Ricciardo è expressed himself in no uncertain terms to the team’s official channels about his feelings ahead of the Brazilian GP.

"Mexico è was a great weekend from start to finish and I was really happy. We had a good car and we made the most of it. Interlagos è a very short track and there aren&#39t many corners, so you have to make sure you go through them all cleanly, because if you make a mistake you can&#39t make up for lost time. There are some great corners and here you canò overtake by preparing to overtake a little bit beforehand, maybe seeing what the car in front did on the previous lap, to see if it is going to leave a door open or defend" began the Australian driver.

"This is another Sprint weekend after Austin and I am excited because I feel we have a lot more confidence in the car and its setup. Obviously, having raced two weekends in a row since I came back, I'm looking forward to the format here at Interlagos. It's hard to know how well this track suits our car. I think I haven&#39t done enough races to know which tracks we do better on. In Mexico we did better than expected and that gives us confidence for Brazil. I hope we can achieve another Q3 and another top 10 in the race" added Daniel Ricciardo.

At the official Alpha Tauri channels, è teammate Yuki Tsunoda also spoke: "In Mexico we could have finished with both cars in the points and, starting from the back of the grid, that would have been a great result for me. With Piastri I was too impatient; I will learn for the future. The most important thing about this weekend è that the car performed very well and the updates are working. We have moved up in the constructors’ standings and I think we can be competitive in Interlagos as well; so I have to stay focused, I hope we can score more points".
