Jannik Sinner gave reasons on social media for his withdrawal from the Paris-Bercy Masters 1000, where he was due to take the court no earlier than 5 p.m. for the round of 16 match against Australia's Alex De Minaur.
"I am sorry to announce that I am withdrawing from today’s match in Bercy. I finished the match when it was almost 3 a.m. and went to bed only a few hours later. I had less than 12 hours to rest and prepare for the next match. I have to make the right decision for my health and my body" wrote the azure in a story on Instagram.
"The coming weeks with the ATP Finals at home and the Davis Cup will be very important, now I focus on preparing for these important events. See you in Turin! Go for it!" the South Tyrolean tennis player commented.
