Sassuolo, Dionisi: "A grueling race"

Sassuolo coach Alessio Dionisi commented on the penalty shootout victory against Spezia in the Coppa Italia: "We made the match even though it è was long, exhausting and in some ways difficult because we could not unlock it despite the many chances and the volume of play".

"The boys had the right attitude, then we could have been more precise in the last 20 meters maybe. Lately we are less so compared to the first ones in the league, but I have confidence in these guys who are on a path of growth. Passing the round was the most important thing, as well as giving minutes to many guys who got it today. Those are the two mostù positive" things.

"What è the real Sassuolo? Granted that these Italian Cup rounds are not a given, I also look at foreign leagues: Bayern Munich lost to a C team, an A team in Italy lost to a B team, two went to extra time, we went to penalties… We created so much, but there'è credit also to Spezia if we didn't score early, who changed so much from the eleven 'starters'. So did we and I found positive responses: we are the sum of all the games played, you have to make the average".

Cragno’s decisive save: "Definitely è a goalkeeper I don’t really discover him, è he came here with enthusiasm and quality. He has already è played in the league and did well, today he did well and I am also happy for him because he è gives positive answers".
