Real Madrid denies negotiation for Kylian Mbappé
Real Madrid has denied "alleged negotiations" with Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappé, in response to new rumors published in the press this week.
"In light of the information recently circulated and published by various media speculating about alleged negotiations between player Kylian Mbappé and our club, Real Madrid wishes to state that this information is categorically false", wrote the Madrid club in a press release, adding "that no such negotiations have taken place with any player belonging to PSG".
After agitating the Spanish press throughout the summer, the future of Mbappé, who has long been courted by Real Madrid and whose contract expires in Paris in June 2024, è resurfaced this week in the sports dailies. "Real is silent but sees him in white (club color) in 2024", headlined for example Marca on Thursday, adding that the Real Madrid dressing room "believes he will land at Santiago-Bernabeu".
In France, the daily L'Équipe also speaks of "a pending future" for the 24-year-old French national, who, according to the sports daily, would not rule out a contract extension with PSG at the moment.
