Parma wins and consolidates top spot

It è ended on Sunday afternoon the twelfth day of the 2023-24 Serie B championship: celebrating Parma and Cremonese, who got the better of Sudtirol and Spezia respectively, while at the Mapei Stadium Reggiana and Lecco drew 1-1.

The Ducali coached by Fabio Pecchia, veterans of the brilliant qualification to the round of 16 of the Italian Cup, already passed on 9' with Bonny, already a goal against Lecce a few days ago. The match was then closed out by Dennis Man from the penalty spot (also just like against the Salentini) in the 56th minute. 2-0, then, the final at the Tardini.

Very hard then the lesson given by Cremonese to Spezia, beaten 3-0 at the end of a match that last year was played in Serie A: Sernicola at 12', Zanimacchia at 29' and Coda at 52' signed the three grigiorosse goals, while the guests’ nervousness è summarized by the direct red to Nikolaou at 94'.

Between Reggiana and Lecco, finally, it ends 1-1: emiliani ahead with Antiste at 26', Buso realizes the bluceleste goal of the tie at 66', allowing the newly promoted club in cadetteria to keep open the series of useful results after the successes against Pisa and Palermo.

In the standings, Parma remains first and rises to 29 points, a good five more than second-placed Venezia. Modena (22), Catanzaro (21), Palermo (20), Cremonese (19), Como (18) and Bari (17) occupy the boxes that would give, at the end of the championship, qualification for the playoffs, while the last five places are occupied by Sampdoria (10), Lecco (8), Spezia (8), Ternana (6) and Feralpisalò (6).
