Sanchez’s Chile also did poorly: 0-0 with Paraguay

It's all happened in South America, in the competitions valid for qualification for the upcoming World Cup. Argentina, surprisingly, lost the challenge to Uruguay (0-2 the final). Despite the presence of all of its aces, including Messi and Lautaro Martinez, the World Champions could not find a way to overcome Bielsa's Uruguay, which prevailed with goals from Araujo and Nunez.

Match to forget for Brazil as well. With Bremer and Carlos Augusto on the bench, the Greenoro went ahead in the challenge with Colombia (Martinelli) but suffered a comeback by the hosts who overturned the result with goals both signed by Luis Diaz (2-1 the final).

Chile also chewed bitterly, forced to a 0-0 draw by lowly Paraguay. Despite numerical superiority (lasting almost a half), Chile struggled mightily, not finding a way to score. Sanchez, Inter striker, disappointed, as did the rest of the team. At the end of the match, Chile coach Berizzo resigned.
