Ferrari, very harsh outburst by Carlos Sainz
Carlos Sainz comes to the microphones of Sky Sports visibly angry, after qualifying for the Las Vegas Grand Prix, which ended in second place, although the Spaniard will have to start from twelfth place on the grid, due to the penalty suffered after Friday’s free practice.
"I’m not in a good mood, I lost the pole and then the penalty yesterday,& admitted the Ferrari driver.
I’m disappointed with the situation in the sport, from Fia and the teams. We are not able as a sport to react in a sporting way to events like what happened yesterday. Darò everything, with two cars in front we could have fought for victory. I hope to control the graining and move forward. We do not have many predictions about tire degradation, we will see in the race".
"First and foremost è it was an outstanding job by the whole team,” continued the Spaniard. We dominated qualifying after a difficult day like yesterday and managed to put the car back together to monopolize the front row, which was incredible. I definitely would have liked to be first, but I would have started 11° instead of 12°. We did the best we could, but I am a little bit’ sorry about yesterday. I’m not going to lie, I’m in a bad mood about whatè happened. I try not to show it, but the situationè this".
"Tomorrow will depend on the start, the graining and how easy it will be to overtake. We seem to have the pace this weekend, although I would like to fight for the victory with Charles and Max, but unfortunately I will have to try to come back. I hope I can fight with them, but I think it will be" complicated" concluded Sainz.
